Interests

I am a junior at the University of Utah, originally from Wyoming. I am interesting in quantum mechanics and its practical applications.
I am working on producing inverse opal photonic crystals doped with various optically and magnetically active ions. Such doped materials are very interesting, since they combine the fascinating properties of photonic band structure crystals with additional functionalities (optical, electronic, magnetic, …).
