Interests

Jacob’s scholarly interest is in biomedical engineering with a strong emphasis in biomaterials and chemistry. Jacob also enjoys extracurricular study of music, politics, psychology, and woodworking.

When not studying Jacob enjoys playing guitar, backpacking, mountain biking, canoeing, and reading

Research Interest

Jacob’s current research involves manipulating the properties of titanium and silicon-based sol-gels in order to study the magnetic and optical effects various dopants have on sol-gel thin films.
