Aym is originally from Santo Domingo, Dominican
Republic. Aym attended the University of Utah as an undergraduate
and received a B.S. in chemistry and a B.A. in biology.
In the Burrows group, Aym is interested in the
effect of secondary oxidation products of DNA on the polymerase
activity of HIV reverse transcriptase.
Aym spends the rest of his time in the Utah mountains
backpacking, skiing, and mountain biking.
