Chemists in the Wind Rivers in 2005

In August of 2005, the Chemists again ventured into Wyoming’s wonderful Wind River Mountains. This time, we entered at the Big Sandy Trailhead and hiked to Skull Lake where we made out base camp.

On August 11, 2001, 22 chemists and family members again ventured into Wyoming's Wind River Mountains. This year, they entered at the New Fork Lakes Trailhead at about 7800 ft.

On August 14, 1999, a group of Utah Chemists once again ventured to Wyoming's Wind River Mountains for several days of fun and relaxation.

On Wednesday, August 12, 1998, a group of sixteen chemists (OK, there were some children and spouses too) drove to Pinedale, Wyoming where they stayed at the Sun Dance Motel the evening before starting a four day excursion into the Wind River Mountains.

Chemists on King's Peak
On July 19, 1997, a group of backpackers from our department set out to climb King's Peak, the highest mountain in Utah (13,528 feet above mean sea level). The group included Jack Simons (unofficial leader of the gang of 10), Peg Simons, Peter Beal, Tom Richmond, Sheila David, Chuck Grissom, Cindy Squire, Greg Voth, Chuck Wight and Jennifer Wight.
